It will take about eight to ten hours to reach Kalpa. North is well connected so you can also take a bus and reach Kalpa.

If you like to travel by train, you can reach Shimla by train. Take a cab and reach the place. Shimla is the nearest station to Kalpa so most people travel to Shimla and then take a cab to Kalpa.

If you are an air travel person, then you can take a flight to Jubbar Bhatti airport in Shimla. Take a cab from there to reach your destination.
