A Memorable Trip to Enjoy the Colors of Himachal

December 29,2020

Himachal Pradesh is one of the best tourist destinations for summers. The best time to visit is when it is snowing which is in January but if you are an adventure you can visit there between October and February.

It was an ordinary trip to Shimla-Manali. The two most beautiful hill stations of Himachal. But this trip ended up in Manikaran with great memories that would remember all my life.

Day 1: Tour begins!

Our trip started after reaching Delhi by flight from Bangalore around 6 in the morning. Our cab was already there to pick us up. We left from there to begin our journey around 7 in the morning. On the way, we stopped after few hours by the roadside Dhaba for tea and breakfast. After that, we were on our route to Shimla.

We were in Shimla by 3 in the afternoon. We checked-in to the hotel take shower and had some snacks. Then we started exploring the town. We went to the church and gave our prayers to Jesus Christ. The sun was started setting by then. The ever beautiful Shimla Mall road was looking amazing by the light of the setting sun. After some shopping from the mall, we went back to our hotel and slept.

Day 2: Jhakhoo temple and Kufri

Early morning after having breakfast we checked-out from the hotel and went to Jhakhoo temple. This temple was of lord hanuman. From the top, the town seems to be very beautiful. After offerings our prayers we headed towards Kufri. Kufri offers a bird’s-eye view of the Himalayan landscape. There is a Telescope room that enables us to see the Palace where Aamir Khan shoots Bollywood blockbuster ‘3- idiot’s’ was shot. Besides, there is a small naga temple and a few tea stalls. After exploring all we came down. And had a night stay in Kufri in the hotel.

Day 3: Road journey to Manali

Early morning at 6 am we headed towards Manali. We were on the way and capturing the scenes in our cameras. That was so beautiful and we stopped to have breakfast. After having it we left and going with the hills. We reached Manali at 5 in the evening. As we were tired after checking-in to the hotel we had some food and excited to see the mall road of the Manali. We had some kind of energy in us and get ready, and headed towards the mall. The sun was about to getting down and the city was looking very beautiful. After seeing and shopping we were about to getting our hotel we thought that we can go to the Hidimba temple the temple of Bhima’s wife. On the way towards the temple, there were some people with the rabbits and the yaks we played with the rabbits and had a ride on the yak. We continued towards the temple we saw the long footprints and a statue of Hidimba. This temple was about 500 years old. After that, we went to the museum nearby the Hidimba temple. There were very big old artifacts and utensils. After seeing these we went back to the hotel and after dinner, we slept.

Day 4: Solang valley and Rohtang

In the early morning, we headed towards the Rohtang but as such there was heavy snow there we don’t get the pass. Then we spend our time in the Solang valley as there was also very snow we played with snow and captured beautiful memories of there our whole day was spent there. Then we came back to the hotel. And waiting for the next morning.

Day 5: Trip to Manikaran

In the morning we checked out from the hotel and went to the Gurudwara sahib of Manikaran which is located on the bank of the Parvati river and a bridge connects it with the road. This place is very peaceful and we went to the main praying hall of gurudwara. Next, we went towards the langar hall and had delicious langar.

And then we left from there to the Delhi airport. On the way while returning back, we stopped to enjoy beautiful landscape of Kully Valley and Pandoh Dam on River Beas in Mandi District.

That was such a memorable trip and we enjoyed the different things and different colors of Himachal.
